Fairyloot April Unboxing (everyone get excited!)

A new month, a new Fairyloot unboxing! This months (April) theme is Dark Magic and I’m very excited for this box. I know it’s not April anymore, don’t @ me. I’ve been very excited to unbox it for you and show off all the items!

The first item is a doublesided totebag. The lettering is by KDPLetters, while the art is by morgana0anagrom. It is inspired by Leigh Bardugo’s Grisha trilogy and features The Darkling! I’m not a huge fan of the character himself, but the art is gorgeous! This might be added into a prize for a very special thing coming up soon!

Then for the next item we have this awesome philosopher’s stone soap by Pretty Suds, doesn’t it look awesome! I don’t think you can really see it in the picture, but it’s all sparkly! Can’t wait to use it. Then this months Fairyloot also contained a kitty tea strainer! It was inspired by Mister Kindly from Jay Kristoff’s Nevernight, and it’s adorable! It hangs over the top of your mug and look at that little face!

Then this awesome booksleeve with A Darker Shade of Magic inspired art by Monolimeart. I adore booksleeves! I must have about 20 now? Yeah.. quite a lot, but they are incredibly handy when you’re traveling and you buy books and need to protect them, because I’m not going to let my books get ruined in a backpack!

This month featured two new cards in the Six of Crows part of the Tarot Cards. This month it’s Nina’s and Matthias’ turn and they look amazing. Its so cool to have these character cards as Tarot cards. I can’t wait to have all of them in my collection! Then this awesome pin, designed by Literary Emporium which was inspired by A Curse So Dark And Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer! And this supershiny notebook with a quote from Children of Blood and Bone: ‘We are all children of blood and bone. All instruments of virtue and vengeance‘. It was designed by Stella Bookish Art and I love it.

And then the book! Drumroll please.. It’s Nocturna by Maya Motayne. It has these amazing blue sprayed pages which are perfectly in tune with the cover. The whole book is incredibly beautiful and do you see the lettering on the spine?! By the time this posts goes up, the book has already been published, but it wasn’t when I got the box, so it was extra special that this book was featured. Here is the synopsis:

To Finn Voy, magic is two things: a knife to hold under the chin of anyone who crosses her…and a disguise she shrugs on as easily as others pull on cloaks.

As a talented faceshifter, it’s been years since Finn has seen her own face, and that’s exactly how she likes it. But when Finn gets caught by a powerful mobster, she’s forced into an impossible mission: steal a legendary treasure from Castallan’s royal palace or be stripped of her magic forever.

After the murder of his older brother, Prince Alfehr is first in line for the Castallan throne. But Alfie can’t help but feel that he will never live up to his brother’s legacy. Riddled with grief, Alfie is obsessed with finding a way to bring his brother back, even if it means dabbling in forbidden magic.

But when Finn and Alfie’s fates collide, they accidentally unlock a terrible, ancient power—which, if not contained, will devour the world. And with Castallan’s fate in their hands, Alfie and Finn must race to vanquish what they have unleashed, even if it means facing the deepest darkness in their pasts.

And that’s the box! It does also include character art, which is shown more clearly in the unboxing picture below. I really loved this box, the items are so useful and I will definitely be using every single one!

I can’t wait for next months box. There are some amazing books coming out and I will definitely be showing you another unboxing when I get it! What did you like from this box, and have you ever bought one of Fairyloots boxes? Or did this post maybe inspire you to do so? Let me know!

Until next time,
