Today is my last post before Pride month starts, and most (if not all) posts will be related to the challenge me and my friends have created. In order to keep up with my traditions (as far as you can call them traditions after about 6 months), I wanted to let you know what upcoming books I’m really psyched about!
Kindred: 12 Queer #LoveOzYA Storied by various authors, edited by Michael Earp
All anthologies with queer stories are good anthologies. While I do not know all the authors, the fact that Jen Wilde wrote a story makes it worthwhile for me 🙂
Kindred: 12 Queer #LoveOzYA is out on June 1st and can be bought on Bookdepository
This Time Will Be Different by Misa Sugiura
The story of a girl fighting for something meaningful – her family. I haven’t heard a bad thing about this book and the cover looks amazing. It sounds like the story and therefore CJ, will deal with some pretty tough subjects and I’m here for that.
This Time Will Be Different is out on June 4th and can be bought on Amazon and Bookdepository
Magic For Liars by Sarah Gailey
I see magic, I see private investigator, I buy. AND there are a couple of queer characters! And not all of them are good, not all of them are bad. Sounds like my thing, so this is definitely a book I’m looking forward too!
Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin
So. I have to admit something.. I don’t know much about Pride & Prejudice, but this really makes me want to read it. Ayesha at Last is being promoted as a Muslim Pride & Prejudice and resolves a bit around arranged marriages. That’s another thing I don’t know much about, but I do want to learn.
Ayesha at Last is out on June 4th and can be bought on Amazon and Bookdepository
Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
I loved An Enchantment of Ravens and I am really excited for this one. IT’S ABOUT LIBRARIES!! Also sorcerers 🙂 I’m pretty sure this is going to be in a book box, and it’s going right on my nightstand to read when I get it.
My suggestion for all these books is.. BUY THEM ALL! They all seem amazing and I can’t wait to read them all. But it’s also okay if you don’t buy them all, for whatever reason ❤ Would there be one or more books that you’d be interested in?
Until next time,
