Aah! It’s finally my time to continue this seasons Bookend Events post! For those who don’t know, Bookend Event is created by Sam @ Fictionally Sam and Clo @ Cuppa Clo. They do this every season, and this time it’s time for Bookend Autumn. I absolutely love autumn, it’s the tmie of year where the trees change colour and the leaves fal to the ground. If the weather is good you can roam around in the woods (it’s just too bad I don’t have a dog to walk).
I wanted to create a book tag since I always love doing them. It’s not only fun to do, it’s also a really easy way to find new books to read! Not to mention easy to recreate if you don’t have any ideas for new blogpots. I really hope you are going to love it! All you have to do is answer the prompts with either a book or a character that you think fits the prompt.
With every tag come rules, so if you want to post this, please follow these:
- Please link back to this post (not my homepage, but the address of this blogpost)
- Answer the following questions.
- Tag a bunch of people to do this tag!
When I think of comfy reads, my mind usually wanders towards contemporaries. Books where you know everything will be alright eventually. If it’s a queer contemporary, it’s a huge bonus. These books are books that I have read which have comforted me in darker times, or are books that I’ll read next when I need a happy ending.
Well, this one is pretty selfexplanatory. Below are some of my favourite reads with Orange, Red or Yellow covers!
I’ve not read a lot of scary books, but there are a few that I absolutely love and are definitely a bit creepy. Some a little less than others, but I would love foryou to read them and judge for yourselves!
I love me a good villain or a morally grey character. There are times that I love villains more than I love the MC/hero character. I’m not going to apologize for it. Kaz from Six of Crows is probably one of my favourite ones.. The whole crew to be honest, because let’s face it. They’re pretty morally grey.
I personally also like Cardan from The Cruel Prince. Mostly because he has this sarcastic side that I can really identify with. Which may not be a good thing now that I’m thinking about it..
And then also Nimona, because she’s pretty much helping a villain, so I can definitely classify her as at least a morally grey character!
We Are Okay is such a heartbreaking book. It’s absolutely terrible and beautiful at the same time. It forced me to deal with issues I didn’t want to deal with for many, many years. It is very high on my all time favourite books and I love it to pieces.
Okay so this is different from the first prompt, since it was my choice to pick contemporaries. There are a bunch more contemporaries that are sweet as fuck and I will cherish for the rest of my life. Here’s just a small collection, but I recommend all of these to everyone.
I know I chose this prompt, but I’ll never be able to make a good selection.. I’ve choses three books I’m really hella excited for. I’m definitely buying these as soon as they come out!
And now it’s time to tag people. Just keep in mind that some people hoard tags and others might never do them because of time restrictions or simply because they just don’t want to. Please respect those wishes. And most importantly HAVE FUN!
